The New York Open Center is a cottage industry
of one, a sixteen year-old institution of holistic teaching and
practice known to many, understood by few, and surrounded by an
increasingly aggressive array of marketing-savvy competitors.
Market Pathfinding, Inc. was asked to develop an advertising campaign
to increase enrollment. We recommended focusing on what we dubbed
the post-materialists, over-achievers in their careers who were
under-succeeding at life. We developed a new logo, a new tag line:
"A Place Of Higher Learning," and an ad campaign which
for the first time actually answered the "What exactly is
the Open Center?" question.
Early results are encouraging. Stay tuned
