The fight to provide high quality reproductive
health care and health education services to the women of this
country has been the commitment of Planned Parenthood since Margaret
Sanger founded it over 75 years ago. But too many potential clients
of Planned Parenthood have a misconception about what Planned
Parenthood is all about.
Extensive research showed that the challenge was to develop advertising
that would educate and inform women about the full range of health
care services offered by the more than 900 Planned Parenthood
clinics located in vastly different socio-economic and geographic
regions of the country.
The result was a one-hundred page advertising kit providing the
framework for Planned Parenthood affiliates to develop customized
print and broadcast campaigns. Marketing Pathfinding principals
put on an extensive road show to explain the marketing premise
behind the kit. It has been embraced by the affiliates as a user-friendly,
highly effective marketing and fund-raising tool.
